Srinagar, Jul 9: Authorities on Friday said it will take the matter of non-implementation of Government Fee Fixation Committee (GFFC) orders by the private schools affiliated with the Central Board of School Education (CBSE).
A few days back, it was reported as to how the schools having affiliation of CBSE has been left Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) ‘helpless’ to take any action against them for charging miscellaneous fee from students during lockdown period.
On Friday, the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) appealed the Principal Secretary to Government for School Education Department to take the matter with CBSE authorities requesting them not to entertain the claims and affairs of those schools till No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from DSEK are issued.
“Earlier this month, BOSE has suspended all the board facilities of such schools violating the government for session 2020-21 till furnishing of NOCs by the concerned schools from DSEK with regard to implementation of Government orders and instructions,” the official said.
Meanwhile, a notification issued by the DSEK said, “Four private schools appearing in the order issued on Friday are affiliated with CBSE and the JKBOSE has requested to take up the matter with CBSE authorities for similar action.”
DSEK requested the government that the NOCs issued in favour of these schools be suspended until they ensure implementation of government orders, other circular and instructions.
“It is further requested that matter may be taken up with CBSE authorities requesting them not to entertain the claims and affairs of those schools till NOCs from DSEK are issued,” it reads.
