Doctors: The heartbeat of our healthcare system

There has been no let up in the sufferings of commuters at Dalgate boulevard road where a portion caved in some months back. The long queues of vehicles could easily explain the situation commuters have been facing. The situation is being witnessed at a time when the tourists have started visiting the Valley after Covid resurgence. The government has been claiming high and tall about the steps being taken to woo the tourists from outside Jammu and Kashmir to the Union Territory. However, the non-renovation of the road is depicting a different picture. It has been months together since the road got caved in, but there seems no concrete measure on the ground to renovate the road to ease the sufferings of the people, who could be seen, stuck in the traffic mess on almost every day. The government has time and again claimed that it has initiated a process to ensure speedy renovation of the road, but so far, the sufferings are still there and seems to have no end. One fails to understand why the department concerned has failed to renovate the road for a longer period now. There is a need to take immediate and proper steps in this regard and the concerned department should be directed to start the renovation work forthwith so that the people, who have been suffering on a daily basis, could heave a sigh of relief.
