Coronavirus: Two patients die, 185 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Jul 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Saturday witnessed two deaths due to Covid-19 while 185 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 3,128.
With 02 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached 4,356 and 185 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 318,469.
Of the exact number of 318,469 cases, 197,737 are from Kashmir division and 120,732 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 180 new cases, 111 belong to Kashmir division while as 74 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 197,737 including 193,839 recoveries and 2,230 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 120,732 including 117,146 recoveries and 2,126 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,128 including 1,668 from Kashmir division and 1,460 from Jammu division.
With 355 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 310,985 which is 97.65 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 41 from Srinagar, 04 from Baramulla, 11 from Budgam, 11 from Pulwama, 15 from Kupwara, 06 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 13 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 74 from Jammu division include 22 from Jammu, 03 from Udhampur, 11 from Rajouri, 16 from Doda, 04 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 09 from Kishtwar, 03 from Poonch, 05 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 31.
Out of two deaths reported today 01 died in GMC Jammu and 01 in SKIMS Soura.
As per officials figures, 70,610 positive cases including 832 deaths and 69,171 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,386 including 280 deaths and 22,916 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,724 including 22,359 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 15,010 including 14,704 recoveries and 193 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,939 including 165 deaths and 13,628 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,223 including 15,925 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,374 cases including 9,199 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,732 including 9,499 recoveries and 77 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,172 including 10,938 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,567 including 5,497 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,548 including 50,961 recoveries and 1,138 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,229 including 11,040 recoveries and 132 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,798 including 10,484 recoveries and 222 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,041 including 6,697 recoveries and 121 deaths are from Doda, 9,232 including 9,069 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,097 including 6,930 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,552 including 4,426 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,169 including 5,953 recoveries and 94 deaths are from Poonch, 5,906 including 5,766 recoveries and 65 deaths are from Ramban and 6,160 including 5,820 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,539,145 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,051 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 3,128 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,253,829 persons have completed the surveillance period and 270,781 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 10,560,499 samples are available. Out of 10,560,499 the number of samples tested negative stands at 10,242,030 while as 318,469 have tested positive, among them 3,128 persons are active, 310,985 persons have recovered and 4,356 persons have died.
