Coronavirus: JK reports 88 positive cases

Srinagar, Jul 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Saturday witnessed 63 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 1,319.
No death was reported in last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4,374 and 88 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 320,491.
Of the exact number of 320,491 cases, 199,053 are from Kashmir division and 121,438 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 88 new cases, ­55 belong to Kashmir division while as 33 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 199,053 including 196,026 recoveries and 2,236 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 121,438 including 118,772 recoveries and 2,138 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,319 including 791 from Kashmir division and 528 from Jammu division.
With 179 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 314,798 which is 98.23 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 27 from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 05 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 04 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 07 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 33 from Jammu division include 05 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 11 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 04 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 04 from Ramban and 03 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday fresh said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 35.
As per officials figures, 71,121 positive cases including 832 deaths and 69,958 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,518 including 282 deaths and 23,163 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,835 including 22,562 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Budgam, 15,135 including 14,870 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,032 including 165 deaths and 13,817 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,304 including 16,032 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,459 cases including 9,302 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,847 including 9,702 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,223 including 11,094 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,579 including 5,511 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,702 including 51,46 recoveries and 1,139 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,269 including 11,111 recoveries and 135 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,883 including 10,603 recoveries and 225 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,183 including 6,973 recoveries and 124 deaths are from Doda, 9,257 including 9,102 recoveries and 150 deaths are from Kathua, 7,120 including 6,966 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,617 including 4,525 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,243 including 6,094 recoveries and 94 deaths are from Poonch, 5,950 including 5,856 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Ramban and 6,214 including 6,126 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,740,426 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,133 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,319 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,372,019 persons have completed the surveillance period and 324,581 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 11,312,556 samples are available. Out of 11,312,556 the number of samples tested negative stands at 10,992,065 while as 320,491 have tested positive, among them 1,319 persons are active, 314,798 persons have recovered and 4,374 persons have died.
