Gardening: A natural path to physical, mental, emotional well-being

The ongoing Covid pandemic has not affected the traders only, but has left many youth jobless as they have either been asked to stop working or join after the situation improves on the ground. Such a situation has added to the number of unemployed youth present in Jammu and Kashmir, which as per the government figures has witnessed a drastic increase in the last two decades. Although the government has been claiming that rate is decreasing as it has opened many sources for the youth to earn their livelihood and also advertised many posts as well. In the meantime, the Jammu and Kashmir government is reportedly going to advertise over 16000 gazetted and non-gazetted posts for recruitment to provide employment to the educated youth of the Union Territory. In a written reply to the question of K. Navaskani in the Lok Sabha, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Rameswar Teli informed that as per information received from Government of Jammu and Kashmir through Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government of J&K has constituted an Accelerated Recruitments Committee (ARC) with an aim to identify vacancies for being filled up on immediate basis and finalizing the procedure to be followed at all levels. However, keeping in view of the rate of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, the posts being advertised are very less and surely not accommodate all the deserving and unemployed youth. Therefore, in order to help and assist the youth, the government should consider coming up with more and more such initiatives so that the jobless youth could heave a sigh of relief.
