Srinagar, Aug 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Friday witnessed 144 fresh positive cases, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 1,404.
No death was reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll in the UT stands at 4,386 and 144 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 322,286.
Of the exact number of 322,286 cases, 200,202 are from Kashmir division and 122,084 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 144 new cases, 94 belong to Kashmir division while as 50 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 200,202 including 197,134 recoveries and 2,238 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 122,084 including 119,362 recoveries and 2,148 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,404 including 830 from Kashmir division and 574 from Jammu division.
With 98more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 316,496 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 33 from Srinagar, 05 from Baramulla, 08 from Budgam, 09 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 07 from Anantnag, 12 from Bandipora, 05 from Ganderbal, 09 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 50 from Jammu division include 15 from Jammu, 09 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 15 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 05 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Friday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 37.
As per officials figures, 71,569 positive cases including 833 deaths and 70,397 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,692 including 282 deaths and 23,275 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,941 including 22,657 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,217 including 14,971 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,103 including 165 deaths and 13,904 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,341 including 16,102 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,507 cases including 9,365 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,959 including 9,808 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,278 including 11,134 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,586 including 5,521 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,824 including 51,562 recoveries and 1,139 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,329 including 11,147 recoveries and 136 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,971 including 10,678 recoveries and 227 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,324 including 7,067 recoveries and 127 deaths are from Doda, 9,265 including 9,110 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,124 including 7,002 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,665 including 4,582 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,274 including 6,149 recoveries and 96 deaths are from Poonch, 5,976 including 5,880 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Ramban and 6,332 including 6,175 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,932,659 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,888 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,404 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,566,031 persons have completed the surveillance period and 352,950 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 12,072,911 samples are available. Out of 12,072,911 the number of samples tested negative stands at 11,750,625 while as 322,286 have tested positive, among them 1,404 persons are active, 316,496 persons have recovered and 4,386 persons have died.
