Srinagar, Aug 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Monday witnessed one death and 108 fresh positive, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 1,311.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,390 and 108 fresh positive cases reported on Monday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 322,658.
Of the exact number of 322,658 cases, 200,429 are from Kashmir division and 122,229 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 108 new cases, 65 belong to Kashmir division while as 43 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 200,429 including 197,445 recoveries and 2,239 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 122,229 including 119,512 recoveries and 2,151 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,311 including 745 from Kashmir division and 566 from Jammu division.
With 196 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 316,957 which is 98.23 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 20 from Srinagar, 17 from Baramulla, 02 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 02 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 06 from Bandipora, 09 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 43 from Jammu division include 11 from Jammu, 06 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 09 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 02 from Samba, 06 from Kishtwar, 03 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 02 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 37.
As per officials figures, 71,654 positive cases including 834 deaths and 70,538 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,721 including 282 deaths and 23,327 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,971 including 22,687 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,234 including 14,991 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,115 including 165 deaths and 13,914 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,344 including 16,111 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,522 cases including 9,367 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,983 including 9,830 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,298 including 11,156 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,587 including 5,524 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,859 including 51,590 recoveries and 1,140 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,346 including 11,158 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,987 including 10,697 recoveries and 228 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,360 including 7,106 recoveries and 127 deaths are from Doda, 9,267 including 9,111 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,126 including 7,002 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,688 including 4,595 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,282 including 6,152 recoveries and 96 deaths are from Poonch, 5,978 including 5,891 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Ramban and 6,336 including 6,210 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,973,463 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,248 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,311 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,594,997 persons have completed the surveillance period and 365,517 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 12,249,063 samples are available. Out of 12,249,063 the number of samples tested negative stands at 11,926,405 while as 322,658 have tested positive, among them 1,311 persons are active, 316,957 persons have recovered and 4,390 persons have died.
