Srinagar, Aug 11: Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha will preside over a main function on the eve of I-Day at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar.
According to an order issued by Additional Secretary to the Government, Rohit Sharma, under number GAD-ADM/273/2021-09-GAD, reads that “Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor shall preside over the main function and take salute on the Independence Day (15th August, 2021) function, at the Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar.”
“Shri Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor shall preside over the main function and take salute at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu,” it said, adding that the other Advisor(s), Mayor(s) of both Capital cities and DDC Chairpersons of Jammu and Srinagar shall attend the main function in their respective cities.
According to the order, DDC chairperson shall preside over the functions and take salute on the Independence Day at concerned District Headquarters.
Block Development Council chairpersons will preside over the functions in their respective blocks while presidents of municipal committees and councils will do the honours in their respective areas. (KNO)
