The development promises remained a war cry since the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019 by the central government. The administration back in Jammu and Kashmir claimed to have speed up its process of developing and ensuring a new dawn of development in the Union Territory, saying that projects worth crores of have either been completed or under process, which is set to give a major relief to the people in terms of employment and bringing J&K at par with the other States. However, amid the completion of various projects, the centre government has finally sent dozens of Union Ministers in several teams to review the works of developmental projects and share the details with the top-level government authorities for the appropriate and needful action. These parliamentary delegations have so far met the civil society members, common people and the civil admin to get the firsthand report. Such a step was quite appreciable as meeting the people at grass roots level will bring transparency and help in fulfilling the promises of development in J&K. The delegations in case find anything negligent must ensure apt action for the wellbeing of the people as well as for the J&K itself.
