JK logs 170 new coronavirus cases

Srinagar, Sep 9: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday witnessed 170 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,263, however, no death was reported in the last 24 hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in the UT has stood at 4,411 and 170 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 326,480.
Of the exact number of 326,480 cases, 203,243 are from Kashmir division and 123,237 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 170 new cases, 147 belong to Kashmir division while as 23 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 203,243 including 199,963 recoveries and 2,245 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,237 including 120,843 recoveries and 2,166 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,263 including 1,035 from Kashmir division and 228 from Jammu division.
With 158 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 320,806 which is 98.26 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 80 from Srinagar, 22 from Baramulla, 20 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 06 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 03 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 23 from Jammu division include 01 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 04 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 02 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 12 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 45.
As per officials figures, 72,918 positive cases including 837 deaths and 71,506 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,042 including 282 deaths and 23,592 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,314 including 22,965 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,372 including 15,148 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,272 including 166 deaths and 14,081 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,464 including 16,238 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,658 cases including 9,666 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,155 including 10,059 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,438 including 11,300 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,602 including 5,539 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,058 including 51,862 recoveries and 1,142 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,385 including 11,243 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,120 including 10,860 recoveries and 235 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,638 including 7,459 recoveries and 130 deaths are from Doda, 9,286 including 9,135 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,138 including 7,013 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,797 including 4,734 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,330 including 6,220 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 6,003 including 5,921 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,482 including 6,396 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,354,996 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,194 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,263 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,874,836 persons have completed the surveillance period and 466,292 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 13,780,361 samples are available. Out of 13,780,361 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,453,881 while as 326,480 have tested positive, among them 1,263 persons are active, 326,806 persons have recovered and 4,411 persons have died.
