Eminent academician Prof Ashna joins Congress

Srinagar, Sep 15: Eminent academician, social and political figure Prof. Ismail Ashna on Wednesday joined Congress party at Srinagar party office.
J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and various other senior party leaders welcomed Prof Ashna into Congress party, hoping that his joining will further strengthen the party in Bandipora district.
Speaking on the occasion, Mir hailed the social work being rendered by Prof. Ashna in him home district (Bandipora) and elsewhere in Kashmir and termed him an visionary, who remains committed to the cause of serving people to the best of his ability.
I congratulate Prof. Ashna for joining Congress Party, JKPCC President added and hoped that he (Prof. Ashna) would continue to work for the people with great enthusiasm, besides working for the Congress party, as that Congress party is an instrument of service, fully committed to serve and strengthen people.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Ashan expressed full faith in the programmes and policies of the Congress party and under the leadership of JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir and vowed to serve the party to the best of his ability.
“I understand that Congress party is the best platform to work for the people of J&K, I assure Congress Leadership especially JKPCC President that I would work for the party with great dedication,” Prof. Ashna said.
