Srinagar, Oct 5: The Jammu and Kashmir government relieved former IAS officer Baseer Ahmad Khan from the post of advisor to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday.
According to an order, Khan has been relieved from the post of advisor to LG Manoj Sinha following a communique from Ministry of Home Affairs.
His removal from the post came all of a sudden and the reasons behind it were not immediately known.
Khan was made an advisor in March last year when G C Murmu was the Lt Governor, and he continued in the post under Murmu’s successor Manoj Sinha.
Prior to his appointment as an advisor, Khan was the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir.
