Pulwama, Oct 11: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Kashmir provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani Monday said that it is very sad that a senior colleague Devender Rana has left the party.
While talking with reporters after attending a marriage function of a party leader at Murran Pulwama, Wani said that Rana was personally very close to him and leaving the party after remaining associated with it for decades is very sad.
“We have seen many ups and downs together but don’t know how his mind changed,” he said.
Wani said that though he had mentioned the reason behind the move in his resignation, he didn’t express any such anger when he met Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah a few days back.
“People have started talking about Jammu today but they must know that NC was and will talk about the development and welfare of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh forever and despite the resignation of few leaders, NC has strong footing in Jammu division,” Wani said.
About recent civilian killings, Wani said that the ground situation is before everyone and from the last few days there has been a wave of fear everywhere which has exposed the claims of the central government that there is normalcy in J&K.
