Jammu, Nov 25: Police on Thursday seized 52 heroin packets from a truck at Suketar-Jhajjar Kotli in Jammu.
A police officer said that the packets were concealed in the cavity of the truck truck (HR73-2226) at Suketar/Jhajjar Kotli this afternoon. “The truck was on way from Kashmir valley towards Punjab,” he said.
A case (FIR No. 181/2021) u/s 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli.
“The preliminary investigation hints that drugs have been supplied from across the border were meant for sale in the hinterland of the state of Punjab,” the officer added. (GNS)
