Srinagar, Dec 14: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday reported two deaths and 134 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,427.
With two more deaths, the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,500 and 134 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 339,124.
Of the exact number of 339,124 cases, 213,459 are from Kashmir division and 125,665 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 134 new cases, 103 belong to Kashmir division while as 31 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 213,459 including 210,047 recoveries and 2,310 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,665 including 123,150 recoveries and 2,190 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,427 including 1,102 from Kashmir division and 325 from Jammu division.
With 147 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 333,197 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 44 from Srinagar, 26 from Baramulla,04 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 09 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 12 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 31 from Jammu division include 19 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 04 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 04 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 50.
As per officials figures, 78,038 positive cases including 875 deaths and 76,646 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,733 including 290 deaths and 25,251 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,365 including 24,071 recoveries and 213 deaths are from Budgam, 15,664 including 15,418 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,859 including 167 deaths and 14,624 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,702 including 16,480 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,100 cases including 9,926 and 108 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,855 including 10,674 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,528 including 11,403 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,615 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,886 including 52,546 recoveries and 1,154 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,453 including 11,306 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,354 including 11,098 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,986 including 7,813 recoveries and 134 deaths are from Doda, 9,372 including 9,207 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,172 including 7,046 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,842 including 4,791 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,565 including 6,431 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,059 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,976 including 6,922 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,865,740 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,815 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,427 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,423,232 persons have completed the surveillance period and 429,766 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,375,409 samples are available. Out of 18,375,409 the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,036,285 while as 339,124 have tested positive, among them 1,427 persons are active, 333,197 persons have recovered and 4,500 persons have died.
