Srinagar, Dec 15: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has accepted the resignation of four party leaders including two Vice Presidents of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), keeping the gates open for 18 other leaders, who had tendered their resignation along with the ousted leaders.
The 22 leaders from JKPCC had tendered joint resignation in November, 2021, to AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

Considered as the close aide of former J&K chief minister and AICC leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, the 22 leaders from JKPCC had tendered resignation amid reports that Azad is going to float his new party.
Sources within the party said that the aggrieved leaders were seeking removal of G A Mir as JKPCC President.
