Delhi protest just beginning, NC to intensify statehood campaign: Omar

Srinagar, Dec 20: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party on Sunday organized a youth interaction meeting at Nishat ward that was attended by scores of youth participants and party workers.
The meeting was headed by Former Minister and Party Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir besides whom DDC Chairman Srinagar Malik Aftab was also present.
Furthermore, DDC Member and Provincial Vice President Women Wing Shaista Aslam, Party District Joint Secretary Srinagar Mohammad Maqbool Hang, Provincial Youth Joint Secretary Youth Mohammad Dilawar Dar and District Youth President Srinagar Mohsin Zaffar Shah were present in the meeting.
Issuing a statement here, Mir said that people, especially our youth, have apprised him about a myriad of problems currently faced by them due to which a major section of our youngsters are engulfed in a feel of utter dejection and alienation.
“The promises made by the successive governments for generating employment opportunities in the Kashmir division, both in public and private sectors, have remained confined to mere announcements. As the authorities fail to provide appropriate platforms to our talented and educated youth, they are being consumed by social vices. The government holds a moral incumbency to generate employment opportunities but it is acting oblivious to their genuine demands. If Apni Party comes to power, it will ensure that youth are not deprived and they are given ample opportunities to work in the fields they have aspired for,” he said.
Mir also said that Apni Party has rigorously raised the tangible issues that affect the lives of the people without resorting to emotional blackmails and hollow sloganeering that have been blatantly used for decades to deceive the people of J&K.
“We have always been sincere in our commitments and deliverance on ground. The credit of safeguarding the land and job rights for the people of J&K goes to this party which diligently raised up their concerns with the Central leadership and ensured the future of our youth is secured,” he remarked.
On this occasion, Mir said that Apni Party will take requisite measures for the promotion of tourism in Kashmir as many families are directly dependent on it.
“All the necessary steps will be taken in the direction of bolstering tourism in Kashmir through which our youth can earn a dignified livelihood and support their families. It is our top priority to engage the youth in purposeful activities so that they are saved from getting trapped in social evils,” he remarked.
The youth present on this occasion lauded the efforts of the party leadership and pledged to further strengthen the party cadres in their respective areas.
