Srinagar, Dec 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Wednesday visited Gangbugh a low lying area in Tehsil South and took a firsthand appraisal of developmental issues raised by local delegation regarding work undertaken for the dewatering station.
The visit was a part of the Srinagar administration’s public outreach initiative aimed at addressing the developmental concerns of the public in the area.
The visit witnessed several grievances of the area as raised on the occasion resolved on the spot. Several other demands were noted for inclusion in the planning process.
While interacting with the local people on the occasion, the DC assured them that all their genuine concerns raised shall be addressed at the earliest. He reassured the affected house owners that adequate compensation will be provided to them against the damages caused to their houses.
The DC also issued directions to the concerned executing agencies to carry out the works taken up for dewatering station in the area and directed the concerned departments to complete all formalities and resume work on the project.
Chief Planning Officer, Srinagar, Superintendent Engineers of UEED & SMC, Executive Engineers R&B, Tehsildar South among others accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
