Rajouri, Dec 24: An elderly woman died of ‘asphyxiation’ while a husband-wife duo and their four children were hospitalized in Potha village of Rajouri district on Friday.
Reports said that the family fell unconscious at their home following which they were rescued from the spot by villagers and were taken to a local hospital.
Elderly woman in the family identified as Durgi Devi (79) was declared dead at the hospital while her son and daughter-in-law as well as their four children are undergoing treatment.
Those undergoing treatment at Medical College Jammu have been identified as Pritam Singh, his wife Neelam Devi, their four children—Roshi Devi (18), Jasbir Kumar (11), Palki Devi (09) and Raghav Singh (04). (KNO)
