Srinagar, Jan 29: Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported five deaths and another big spike of 4,175 cases pushing the number of active cases to 42,219 in the UT.
With five more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,652 and 4,175 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 428,260.
Of the exact number of 428,260 cases, 273,157 are from Kashmir division and 155,103 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 4,175 new cases, 2,812 belong to Kashmir division while as 1,363 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 273,157 including 239,213 recoveries and 2,381 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 155,103 including 142,176 recoveries and 2,271 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 42,219 including 31,563 from Kashmir division and 10,656 from Jammu division.
With 7,107 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 381,389 which is 89.05 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 892 from Srinagar, 475 from Baramulla, 127 from Budgam, 153 from Pulwama, 436 from Kupwara, 234 from Anantnag, 131 from Bandipora, 44 from Ganderbal, 292 from Kulgam and 28 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 1,363 from Jammu division include 653 from Jammu district, 104 from Udhampur, 34 from Rajouri, 186 from Doda, 99 from Kathua, 55 from Samba, 13 from Kishtwar, 49 from Poonch, 145 from Ramban and 25 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 97,797 positive cases including 896 deaths and 84,027 recoveries are from Srinagar, 35,776 including 300 deaths and 29,750 recoveries are from Baramulla, 32,890 including 29,520 recoveries and 226 deaths are from Budgam, 17,902 including 16,750 recoveries and 199 deaths are from Pulwama, 19,635 including 171 deaths and 18,167 recoveries are from Kupwara, 21,426 including 18,547 recoveries and 216 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,118 cases including 11,787 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,181 including 11,865 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 15,352 including 12,976 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,080 including 5,824 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 71,041 including 63,896 recoveries and 1,196 deaths are from Jammu district, 13,801 including 13,237 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,465 including 11,826 recoveries and 245 deaths are from Rajouri, 9,636 including 8,158 recoveries and 140 deaths are from Doda, 10,882 including 10,296 recoveries and 159 deaths are from Kathua, 8,659 including 8,001 recoveries and 121 deaths are from Samba, 5,425 including 5,110 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,508 including 7,013 recoveries and 107 deaths are from Poonch, 7,315 including 6,552 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,398 including 8,087 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,716,379 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 18,543 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 42,219 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,226,803 persons have completed the surveillance period and 424,162 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 21,270,106 samples are available. Out of 21,270,106 the number of samples tested negative stands at 20,841,846 while as 428,260 have tested positive, among them 42,219 persons are active, 381,389 persons have recovered and 4,652 persons have died.
