Srinagar, Jan 31: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 15 deaths and another spike of 2,550 cases pushing the number of active cases to 36,372 in the UT.
With 15 more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,674 and 2,550 fresh positive cases reported on Monday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 436,425. The last day of January month of 2022 recorded highest every death figure of 15.
Of the exact number of 446,425 cases, 277,947 are from Kashmir division and 157,478 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 2,550 new cases, 1,576 belong to Kashmir division while as 974 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 277,947 including 248,765 recoveries and 2,389 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 157,478 including 145,614 recoveries and 2,271 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 36,372 including 26,793 from Kashmir division and 9,579 from Jammu division.
With 6,433 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 394,379 which is 90.57 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 391 from Srinagar, 210 from Baramulla, 172 from Budgam, 84 from Pulwama, 225 from Kupwara, 138 from Anantnag, 171 from Bandipora, 18 from Ganderbal, 140 from Kulgam and 27 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 974 from Jammu division include 500 from Jammu district, 120 from Udhampur, 53 from Rajouri, 90 from Doda, 11 from Kathua, 14 from Samba, 107 from Kishtwar, 21 from Poonch, 32 from Ramban and 26 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 99,077 positive cases including 900 deaths and 87,078 recoveries are from Srinagar, 36,465 including 302 deaths and 31,263 recoveries are from Baramulla, 33,725 including 31,065 recoveries and 227 deaths are from Budgam, 18,055 including 17,088 recoveries and 200 deaths are from Pulwama, 20,473 including 171 deaths and 19,128 recoveries are from Kupwara, 21,808 including 19,250 recoveries and 216 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,310 cases including 12,328 and 112 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,245 including 12,283 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 15,651 including 13,428 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,138 including 5,854 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 72,340 including 66,169;recoveries and 1,205 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,072 including 13,469 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,563 including 12,009 recoveries and 245 deaths are from Rajouri, 9,859 including 8,224 recoveries and 141 deaths are from Doda, 10,933 including 10,411 recoveries and 162 deaths are from Kathua, 8,719 including 8,184 recoveries and 122 deaths are from Samba, 5,591 including 5,162 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,564 including 7,046 recoveries and 107 deaths are from Poonch, 7,395 including 6,706 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,442 including 8,234 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,746,955 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 24,732 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 36,372 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,255,487 persons have completed the surveillance period and 425,690 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 21,410,100 samples are available. Out of 21,410,100 the number of samples tested negative stands at 20,974,675 while as 435,425 have tested positive, among them 36,372 persons are active, 394,379 persons have recovered and 4,674 persons have died.
