Ganderbal, Feb 21: Residents of Wanghat and adjoining areas of Kangan in Ganderbal District are facing a lot of problems due to dilapidated condition of the road.
Wanghat is a remotest area of Ganderbal district which is 13 kilometres away from sub- division Kangan.
Locals said this road was newly constructed by the PMGSY department at the cost of Rs 14 crore but unfortunately the department didn’t repair the 1.5km road from Wanghat to Hapadnad.
“We have approached PMGSY department Ganderbal but they said we have no funds for execution of further work on the said road,” locals said.
The locals of the area have appealed to the LG administration and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal to resolve their issue at the earliest. (KNO)
