Kupwara, Mar 8: An eight-year-old boy, who had gone missing from his home at Awoora village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on February 15, was found buried on Tuesday in forest area of Awoora, leaving his family shell-shocked.
“The body of Talib Hussain Khan, 8, a resident of Awoora village was found buried at nearby woods Tuesday morning,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara Yougal Manhas said.
As the news spread in the Awoora area, thousands of people from adjacent villages flooded the house of little Talib amid wails, shrieks and cries. Locals said that there were tears in everyone’s eyes, as the sounds of a painfully distressed mother mourning her minor son’s murder pierced the air.
Masooda Begum, mother of Talib while crying loudly said: “I can’t live without my son anymore. Please don’t take him away. I can’t live without him,” she shouted. “Please bring him back!”
The victim’s family demanded death for the culprits involved in the murder and said that what was Talib’s sin and why was he murdered. Another relative said that the perpetrators of Talib’s murder should be sentenced to death.
The father of victim said that his son did nothing wrong, he was so innocent and his killers should be hanged to death.
