Ganderbal, Mar 22: The only approach road which connects Ganderbal with Srinagar -Leh national highway remains in shambles from Kullan to Shutkadi Sonamarg area.
The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Leh-Ladakh road through scenic gold meadows and pristine rivers is now a cluster of potholes, does not only irk the people living in several villages, commuters but also the tourists travelling to the picturesque Sonmarg resort.
Locals said that the condition of road deteriorated in year 2018-19 when the maintenance was from BEACON, but since then no work has been done to repair the road.
Despite the repeated request by the concerned locals of their respective areas no heed has been paid so far.
