BBBP Promotional sticker campaign held at Pulwama

Pulwama, Mar 24: As a special initiative to spread awareness about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign, the District Administration Pulwama today launched a promotional sticker campaign depicting the logo of the scheme and spreading the message to act with urgency and effectiveness on the issues of gender discrimination and empowerment of girl child.
On the occasion, CDPOs pasted the stickers on vehicles and informed that these stickers will be pasted on all Government vehicles and school buses to encourage advocacy efforts and community mobilization initiatives to promote a positive attitude among the citizens towards womanhood and to promote birth of the girl child.
Government has launched the Beti Pachao Beti Padhao flagship initiative to address the issue of declining female Sex Ratio, to empower the girl child and enable her education, preventing gender biased sex selective elimination and ensuring survival and protection of the girl child.
Depicting girl child’s right to life, survival and development, right to identity besides promoting and encouraging people to commit protection, safety, value and education of the girl child.
CDPOs, representatives of the Transport department and a large number of AWWs, Helpers were present on this occasion.
