MD JKPCC inspects ongoing works in Pulwama, Shopian

Srinagar, Apr 5: To expedite the progress of works, the Managing Director (MD) JKPCC, R.K. Shavan Tuesday visited many project sites at Pulwama and Shopian districts to inspect the progress & quality of works.
The MD also identified bottlenecks and passed instructions for redressal on-spot.
During the tour, the MD visited projects including construction of Rahmoo Bridge. The work is being executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 21.25 Cr. under JTFRP Scheme. Engineers were directed to complete the Super structure of Bridge including approach road at the earliest.
He also visited construction of Degree College Rajpora, Pulwama and the work is being executed by JKPCC ltd. at an estimated cost of Rs. 12.21 Cr. Engineers were directed to expedite the progress of work and complete the work as per committed timelines.
At construction site of Indoor Stadium Shopian, it was informed that the project is being executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.82 Cr. and is at stage of completion. DGM directed to complete the roofing and finishing work at the earliest.
Shavan also visited construction of District Hospital Shopian and the project is being executed by JKPCC Ltd at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.65 Cr. He was apprised by GM Kashmir that the hospital building is already functional except some mechanical works at one floor. On spot directions were given by Managing Director to compete all pending works immediately.
At construction site of Trenz Sheikhpora Bridge, it was informed that the work is being executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 34.50 Cr. under JTFRP Scheme. Engineers were directed to complete the Super structure of Bridge including approach road at the earliest.
The MD also visited construction site of Polytechnic College Shopian. The project is being executed by JKPCC Ltd at an estimated cost of Rs. 13.00 Cr. It was apprised by GM Kashmir that the Block “A” & “C” are completed & inaugurated on 23/09/2021. On spot instruction were issued to DGM Shopian to restrict the work within the cost ceiling of 13 Cr only.
At construction site of JNV Algar, it was informed that the project is under execution with JKPCC Ltd. at an estimated cost of Rs. 14.82 cr. and structure work is almost completed and finishing work is in progress. GM Kashmir was directed to take up the matter regarding release of funds with Project Authority so that the work is completed at the earliest.
It was reiterated that extra care should be taken to ensure the quality of work.
The Managing Director was accompanied by G M (Superintending Engineer) JKPCC Kashmir Er. Shaukat Ahmad Dar, DGM Pulwam/ Shopian, Er. Shabir Ahmad Najar and concerned Project Engineers.
