Principal GMC Anantnag receives “SUSHRUT SAMMAN” award at Chattisgarh

Srinagar, Apr 5: Principal Government Medical College Anantnag, Dr (Prof) Syed Tariq Qureshi, who is one of the best and leading Opthalmologists of the country, bagged prestigious award in a ceremony at Chattisgarh.
Dr Qureshi received highly prestigious award namely “SUSHRUT SAMMAN” by the 5th National Assembly of “Forum of Ophthalmic Professors of India” which was held at Raigarh Chhattisgarh on 2nd and 3rd April 2022.
Dr Owais Media Coordinator GMC Anantnag said that the award includes merit certificate and citation for meritorious services in the field of Ophthalmology over past six years.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dr (Prof) Syed Tariq Qureshi, a well-known Ophthalmologist of the country has also started Advanced Vitreo-Retinal Services at department of ophthalmology in GMCH Anantnag.
His efforts as one of the leading ophthalmologist have been very well appreciated and acknowledged worldwide during past many years.
Faculty, Consultants, Medical Officers and other staff of the Govt Medical College and hospital Anantnag has congratulated the Principal for this marvelous feat.
“We are much hopeful that the Principal will bring much more laurels to GMC Anantnag and take the college to new heights,” they said.
