Bandipora, Apr 21: The authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district launched a massive drive during which at least 17 joinery units have been sealed, officials said Thursday.
It was earlier reported that dozens of joinery mills are operating without licences in the district with residents alleging that the officials were hand in glove with their owners.
Taking strong note of report, the drive was launched on the directions of Divisional Forest Officer Bandipora Shabir Ahmad in Khumhana Forest Range during which 17 Joinery units found illegal have been sealed.
“The drive will continue in coming days and strict action will be taken against those units found to be illegal,” the officials said. (KNO)
