DC Kulgam reviews functioning of Revenue department

Kulgam, Apr 26: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the Revenue Department.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various revenue matters and DC reviewed progress and implementation of eviction plan, removal of encroachments from state, kahcharai and Migrant land, status of updation of revenue records, besides status land acquisition, disposal of migrant complaints and other revenue related matters.
The DC asked Tehsildars to construct revenue records and fix responsibility if any issue arises. He also instructed them to organise Mutation camps across the district.
Dr Bilal impressed upon the revenue officials to focus on quality disposal of migrant grievances.
He also asked Tehsildars to collect information such as Adhar number, phone number of farmers in a time bound manner.
While reviewing the status of removal of encroachments on state and kahcharai land, the DC sought details from all Tehsildars about the retrieved land under their jurisdiction. He also directed them to intensify anti-encroachment drives in their respective tehsils to retrieve the encroached land.
During the meeting, the DC instructed to ensure speedy disposal of revenue court cases.
Later, different components of solid waste management along with infrastructure requirements were reviewed at length.
Moreover, DC also reviewed the status of land acquisition cases of PMGSY and PWD road projects. The chair was informed that out of 29 PMGSY projects 12 have been notified and 6 are pending for notification and revenue papers of other projects are under process and papers of some projects have been submitted for authentication.
Out of 46 projects of PWD, disbursement of payment to 18 projects is in process.
ADC, ACR, SDM, besides all Tehsildars and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
