Police solve theft case, 3 accused held

Srinagar, Apr 27: Police in Srinagar n Wednesday claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
A police spokesman said that on 24-04-2022, Police Station Parimpora received complaint from Gh Rasool Shah, son of Muhammad Maqbool of Hamdaniya Colony Bemina stating therein that during the intervening night of 23-24/04/2022 some unknown thieves have barged into the house of his son-in-law Manzoor Ahmad Buch at Umer Abad Shalteng and have stolen copper utensils etc.
In this regard, a case under FIR number 101/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Parimpora and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, officers investigating the case conducted several raids on suspected locations and many suspects were called for questioning. During the course of questioning, three suspected persons confessed their involvement in the commission of crime. They have been identified as Danish Ahmad Dar son of Mohd Shafi, Mohd Shafi Dar son of Asadullah Dar both residents of Shah Colony Parimpora and Ajaz Ahmad Tabardar son of Ab Rashid resident of Fidous Abad Parimpora (A/P Pamposh Colony Palpora). On their disclosure, stolen property was also recovered from their possession. They have been arrested in the instant case and shifted to police station where they remain in custody, police said.
Meanwhile, community members have applauded the efforts made by the Police in solving the case. “Our consistent actions against the anti-social elements shall re-assure community members that Police has resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any criminal activities,” police said.
