The educational institutions have resumed offline classes across Jammu and Kashmir in March this year after the gap of nearly three years of closure, bringing joy among the student community, who suffered a huge academic losses due to online education system. However, the reports have come to the fore, stating that the students instead of attending their classes prefer to bunk their colleges and higher secondaries and thus simultaneously spend their day in the public parks here, thereby leading to more educational losses to them. One fails to understand how the students are being allowed to roam freely in the public parks. The youth are our future and the people have raised concerns over such a happening within the society and called for immediate action to prevent the further losses to the students. In the holy month of Ramadhan, the students could be seen roaming freely in public parks where they could by seen sitting idle and wasting their precious time. Although the authorities have stated to have taken cognizance in this regard, but the situation continued to remain same and thus the career of these students is at stake. There is every possibility that these youth at a time of rise in drug menace may get involved in such a nuisance, therefore, in order to prevent the students from getting involved in drug menace and also ensuring their attendance in schools, there is a need to start a drive in every locality and those found wearing uniforms should be questioned for not attending the schools and subsequently their parents must be involved in this regard to secure the career of the budding stars.
