Ganderbal, Apr 30: People are Batwina village of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Saturday said that they are suffering a lot due to the lack of public transport facility in their area, which is also affecting other adjoining areas too.
Locals said that lack of public transport in Batwina is affecting many other villages including Nawabagh, Guzhama, and Khanpora.
“We appeal the district administration to provide public transport facility to the area,” a group of residents said, adding that they have to wait for long hours to travel from one place to another.
A resident said that “Everyone doesn’t have a personal vehicle and due to absence of public transport, we are forced to board sumos which charge exorbitantly.”
The students of the area said that “they are facing a tough time daily to attend their classes in Ganderbal. “We have to wait for long hours every day to return home. We urge the authorities to provide public transport facility to our area,” they said.
