DC Budgam reviews progress under District Capex Budget

Budgam, May 5: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Thursday took a detailed review of progress under the District Capex Budget- 2022-23 Financial Year.
At the outset, the DDC also reviewed the status of ongoing works being executed by various executing agencies, besides in hand projects earmarked to be completed during the current financial year.
During the meeting, it was given out that under district capex, as many as 340 works have been taken up and are under swift execution under different sectors across the district.
It was informed that the ongoing works include 170 DDC projects, 70 as regular, 89 PRIs and 11 BDC works being executed by various executing agencies under key sectors like R&B, PHE, PDD RDD, Education, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture and other allied sectors.
The DDC stressed on the timely estimation of all pending works and directed all concerned to ensure that the estimation process is completed in a week’s time.
He also emphasized on timely tendering and work execution and instructed that up to the mark work is carried out on all projects to the satisfaction of the general public.
He instructed concerned to ensure quality work execution within the stipulated time frame.
Stressing on expediting the pace of work, the DDC said that he shall be taking review on a routine basis to ensure that there is no delay in the work completion.
The meeting among others was attended by CPO, ACD, CMO, CEO, ACP, CHO, DSHO, all Executive Engineers of Engineering wings and other district heads of concerned departments.
