Handwara, May 10: A 47-year-old Woman was went missing after she had gone to bring back the cattle from the nearby forest belt of Waderbala in Zachaldara area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Officials said that the woman identified as Fazi Begum, wife of Abdul Majeed Mir Shazia went missing last evening she went to bring the cattle back to the nearby forest.
“The family informed the police after her disappearance, after which they launched a massive search operation in the forest area to trace the woman, ” the officials said, adding that there is no word yet on the whereabouts of the missing woman.
“Later, along with the police, the army also stepped up its search operations by using sniper dogs in the forest area,” they said.
Meanwhile, the family members also appealed the general public to help them trace the missing.
