Barely half-an-hour after the Bandipora gunfight, another one began at Marhama village of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag where a joint team of forces cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of militants.
“As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight,” the officials said, adding that two militants are likely trapped in the village.
