Dr Farooq, Mehbooba expert in shedding crocodile tears: Vakil

Baramulla, May 20: Senior Vice President J&K Peoples Conference and Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil Friday lambasted NC and PDP leadership and said both these opportunistic political parties can go to any extent for the sake of power.
“This all is evident that whenever NC and PDP are out of power they make every effort to play with the sentiments of the people simply for lust of power and when they are in power they totally forget the promises made to the people and on the other hand they inflict more miseries and atrocities on the people. It is high time that people must ignore and shunt out both these parties from the future of Kashmir,” Vakil added.
Vakil was addressing a party workers convention in Babareshi. While addressing the gathering Vakil appealed to people to be aware of these demagogues who say one thing in power and another thing out of power. “Kashmiris can’t be befooled anymore. Both NC and PDP should be ready for a biggest defeat of this century in the coming elections so that people of J&K can get rid of dynastic politics and people will not suffer more by their hands.”
History is a testament to the fact that both NC and PDP allowed continuous hollowing of Article 370 during their regimes and are responsible for thousands of innocent killings in the last three decades. Who is responsible for slapping PSA’s on our youth? Vakil asked
In the last three decades, J&K had either a NC or a PDP Government. The two parties have taken turns in killing, maiming, jailing and humiliating Kashmiris. Vakil said Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are all time expert in shedding crocodile tears. Would Mehbooba Mufti or Dr Farooq Abdullah answer why they were silent when they were in power over saw the massacre of young and old and hundreds being blinded by pellets Vakil asked.
Addressing the gathering Sr. PC Leader and Former Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari appealed people to strengthen Peoples Conference because it is the only party which has the strong leadership to take J&K out of these turbulent times. He alleged that National Conference (NC) and PDP have struck a “secret deal” to ensure their two families’ rule in Jammu and Kashmir. Time has come for the people of J&K to reject the self serving politics of traditional families who have for decades exploited the sentiments of the people only to consolidate power in two families Basharat added.
