The much-hyped Jahangir Chowk-Rambagh (JCRB) has developed potholes while the administration has failed to repair the shambles condition, thus leaving the commuters to lurch at large. One fails to understand why the authorities have been playing delaying tactics in repairing the potholed flyover from the past over six months, which has been reported by the media several times. Despite highlighting the issue several times, the concerned department has failed to take appropriate action in this regard, thus pushing the commuters to face hardships. It has been observed that the people prefer not to use the pothole flyover due to its shambles condition, which is leading to the huge traffic burden on the narrow road, especially leading to the traffic congestion near Bindroo’s medical shop. The first of its kind flyover that has constructed and eased the passage of commuters is now creating hurdles yet again, but the concerned department is still acting as mute spectator for unknown reasons and has so far delayed the necessary repairing process, which will put an end to the sufferings of people. The government must take note of such lymphatic attitudes of the concerned department and direct it to take necessary measures at an earliest. There is a dire need to repair the potholed flyover and ensure smooth passage to the commuters, so that the people could heave a sigh of relief. The early repairing process would also help in preventing damage to the flyover and thus must be started without any further delay.
