Bandipora, Jun 17: A mother-son duo were killed after a tree fell on their temporarily erected residential tent during strong winds in Lashkoot forest in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday.
Reports said that a woman identified as Zareena Begum, wife of Shair Mohammad Kasana and her son Yasir Ahmad of Quilmuqam village lost their lives this afternoon after a tree fell on their tent at Lashkoot forests of the district.
They further said that the deceased belong to Gujjar community and each year during summer they migrate to the upper reaches for grazing cattle.
Meanwhile, a team from the administration has been sent to the area to ascertain the details. (KNO)
