Srinagar, Jul 7: The Union Home Ministry has ordered promotion of Inspector General of Police Kashmir range Vijay Kumar and three other officers of 1997 batch as additional director generals of police (ADGPs).
According to an order, the MHA has ordered promotion of Vijay Kumar, Garib Das and Alok Kumar. Vijay Kumar, an IPS officer of 1997 batch, has played a key role in anti- militancy operations and normalising law and order situation in the Union Territory since 2019.
The MHA has also ordered proforma promotion of Viplav Kumar Choudhary who is on central deputation.
