Ganderbal, Jul 13: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah Wednesday chaired weekly Block Diwas at Govt. Boys High School Shallabugh, Sherpathri.
The block Diwas was attended by Vice chairperson DDC Ganderbal, Bilal Ahmad, PRIs and locals of Block Sherpathri.
During the proceedings of Block Diwas, PRIs and locals raised a number of grievances related to macadamization of roads, better water and power supply, upgradation of High School, release of MGNREGA Payment and PMAY second installment, availability of timber and other issues of public importance.
The ADDC gave patient hearing to the issues raised on the occasion and necessary directions were issued to concerned officers for redressal of all issues on immediate basis under their competence.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the purpose of holding Block Diwas is to have firsthand appraisal about the issues and demands being faced by the people and to provide on spot redressal of grievances. He also urged the officers to work with zeal and close coordination of PRIs to achieve targets on time.
DDC Vice Chairperson while speaking on the occasion also highlighted the purpose of holding weekly block Diwas and urged line department to work in close coordination with PRIs to redress the issues raised timely.
Among others, the Block Diwas was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Lead Bank Manager besides other officers and officials of line departments.
