Anantnag, Jul 14: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla Thursday reviewed the District Action Plan of Jal Jeevan Mission in a meeting held at DC office, here.
At the outset, the DDC reviewed the status of under construction Water supply schemes, filtration plants, reservoirs and other works to be executed under the Flagship scheme of JJM.
Dr. Singla took detailed review of tendering and allotment of works process, blockwise.
It was apprised that for Anantnag district 337 works are being taken up for execution in the district under the scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC urged officers to monitor all works regularly and ensure quality in works. He also emphasised upon officers to remove bottlenecks, if any for early and timely completion of approved Plan, besides urging all to involve people and PRIs in the post execution management of schemes as the scheme is community driven.
He directed for monthly conduct of JJM meetings so as to take effective measures for timely and effective completion of works. He further called for evaluation of District Action Plan at regular intervals and directed for regular training of community members for better results.
The meeting was attended by District level committee members and officers of Jal Shakti Department.
