New Delhi, Jul 20: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday said that 1025 Transit Accommodations for Kashmiri migrant employees have been completed while 1872 units are at different stages of completion.
In a reply to a question by parliamentarian, Digvijay Singh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Nityanand Rai, said that the government of India approved construction of 6000 transit accommodations for Kashmiri migrant employees engaged or to be engaged in different districts of Kashmir valley under Prime Minister’s development Package, 2015 (PMDP-2015) announced on 7-11-2015.
“Construction of 1025 units has been completed/substantially completed, 1872 units are at different stages of completion and work on remaining units has been taken up,” Rai said in a reply.
