Poonch, Jul 25: A ten-year-old boy drowned in a river flowing from Poonch Mandi on Monday while a rescue operation has been launched to trace him.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Asif, son of Muhammad Azam of Arai Peeran.
Locals said that the boy went to the river to wash his hands when he slipped and fell into the river water.
Police said that a rescue operation is going on to trace the boy.
