J&K’s MSME sector sparks economic growth

The increasing number of active positive Covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir has been indicating how the people at the helm of affairs are reluctant to prevent the disastrous situation in the Union Territory, which would affect the livelihood as well as lead to the more surge in the deadly pandemic. It is easy for everyone to understand the impact of the rising Covid cases as everyone has tested the bitter situation that arose in wake of this pandemic in the past. Many families lost their dear ones while many couldn’t eat for days together. However, despite the government making an announcement with regard to the wearing of face masks, hardly some persons are found wearing the face masks while the majority of the people in the public places could be found without face masks, thus paving way for the deadly virus to swell like the past. It seems that the people have not taken a lesson from the past situation and thus simultaneously are reluctant to accept its ramifications. At the same time, one fails to understand why the authorities have not taken steps to ensure that the Covid related guidelines are followed in letter and spirit. None from the administration or the enforcement agencies have been seen implementing the directions on the ground and those who openly violate the norms and directives are being easily let go, which would certainly impact the situation. There is a need to ensure that the directives related to Covid-19 pandemic are implemented in letter and spirit and those found violating the norms should be taken to task.
