Coronavirus: JK reports two deaths, 692 new cases

Srinagar, Jul 27: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 692 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 4,074 while two deaths were reported in the UT in last 24 hours taking death toll to 4765
An official said that among 692 new cases, 431 belong to Kashmir division while as 261 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 291,427 including 286,849 recoveries and 2,427 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 170,520 including 166,259 recoveries and 2,338 deaths. He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,075 including 2,151 from Kashmir division and 1,923 from Jammu division.
With 432 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 453,108 which is 98.10 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 692 cases today, 230 are from Srinagar, 99 from Baramulla, 23 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama 10 from Kupwara, 22 from Anantnag, 15 from Bandipora, 27from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 261 are from Jammu division that include 167 from Jammu district, 10 from Udhampur, 21 from Rajouri, 13 from Doda, 03 from Kuthua , 14 from Samba, 13 from Kishtwar, 07 from Poonch, 13 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,695,895 persons in J&K are under observation while 110 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 4,074 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,686,687 persons have completed the surveillance period and 259 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,071,802 samples are available.
“Out of 26,071,802 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,609,855 while 461,947 have tested positive, among them 4,074 cases are active, 453,108 have recovered and 4,765 persons have died,” it added.
