Srinagar, Aug 17: President CITU J&K Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami Wednesday expressed serious concern over the plight of Non-Gazetted Horticulture Employees.
According to a statement, he said that the promotion files of these employees have been pending in the Civil Secretariat for the last 15 years.
“The administration has several times not only accepted the demands of these employees but also given assurances to fulfill them. But instead of fulfilling its promises, the government is turning deaf ear to their genuine demands. For the last 20 years, these employees have been waiting for their promotions.”
Tarigami appealed to the government to consider the demands of these employees including removing pay anomaly, modification to SRO 235 and reorganization of the Department without any further delay, so that the morale of the employees is boosted.
