Srinagar, Aug 25: Young BJP leader and DDC member from Khonmoh Er Aijaz Hussain today addressed a public darbar at Aloochibagh in Lal Chowk constituency where he listened to the public grievances.
Hundreds of locals from Aloochibagh area of Srinagar’s Lal Chowk Constituency apprised Er Aijaz about the series of issues especially dilapidated condition of roads, old electric poles, poor functioning of health centers and drainage system. Locals of the area demanded immediate redressal of grievances on FastTrack basis.
The locals briefed Er Aijaz about the condition of poor drainage system and demanded immediate repair of age old drainage system which literally has turned defunct due to which area often witnesses waterlogging during rainy days. They also sought setting of community centre for smooth conduct of marriage functions given the fact that area is congested one.
The locals of Aloochibagh also sough removal of old electric poles and installation of new ones besides improving wiring network in the area. Members from Sikh Community also raked up the issue of increasing number of stray dogs in the area stating that local population especially children and elderly were facing threat due to the large number of stray dogs present in the area.
Er Eijaz assured the locals of Aloochibagh that all the genuine demands will be taken up on priority and that he personally feels that area needs a full-fledged community centre while as he will take up the issue of stray dogs with the concerned officials of SMC Srinagar. Er Aijaz also promised the locals that their genuine demands with regard to drainage, electric poles, transformers and wiring will be resolved in a stipulated time-frame. The locals of the area hailed Er Aijaz for his public outreach program stating that young leaders like him are committed to resolve peoples’ woes.
