Jammu, Sep 5: For the first time in last several years, Pakistani authorities on Monday took body of a man from Pakistan administered Kashmir who was captured by Indian army during Infiltration and was declared as a ‘terrorist’.
The said man identified as Tabarak Hussain son of Mistri Malik resident of Sabzakote in PaK was captured in injured condition on August 21 when he was trying to infiltrate from the Line of Control in Nowshera sector. He was hospitalized in Army Hospital Rajouri for treatment to his injuries.
The captured man died on Sunday evening due to cardiac arrest.
Officials said that the body of the deceased on Monday morning was taken to LoC in Poonch’s Chakan Da Bagh and was accompanied by a team of Army, police and doctors. His body was handed to Pakistan authorities in a formal procedure.
“We received an official call after which our team is part of the team which has handed over the body to the other side of LoC.” Dr Manpreet Kaur said.
Officials on the other hand said that it is for the first time Pakistan has received the body of a person who has been categorised as a terrorist and a formal press conference was also held to disclose his role.
“The deceased infiltrator had himself confessed on record before camera that he along with other members of the infiltration group was having a plan to target Army establishment in Jhanger area.” Officials said that earlier bodies of all such infiltrators were buried in the area as Pakistan would refuse to take such bodies.
