Shopian, Sep 7: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Wednesday chaired a weekly Public Outreach programme as part of Block Diwas at Chitragam, Zainpora.
Public representatives, delegations and locals of Chitragam, Gundervesh, Wadipora and other villages put forth their grievances and demands regarding establishment of different public institutions and execution of developmental works.
The DC listened to the grievances, issues of the people of the area and assured favourable action.
District heads besides other officials of various departments were on-spot instructed to resolve grievances as demanded by Public delegations and citizens expeditiously, besides they were also directed for making favourable action for improving the provision of different services.
Later, the DC inspected Govt. High School Chitragam and interacted with students and reviewed the functioning of the school. He also visited classrooms of the school and took stock of the learning-teaching outcomes and emphasised upon the teachers to give their best in improving the teaching learning outcomes.
JDP, Khurshid Ahmad; SDM Zainpora, Mushtaq Ahmad; DSHO, DIO, concerned Tehsildar, BDO and other officers and officials of different departments were present on the occasion.
