Kupwara, Sep 13: A 35-year-old man died after falling off a walnut tree in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Hajin Kralgund area of Handwara.
Reports said that the victim Bilal Ahmed Khan, a resident of Hajin Kralgund had climbed on top of the tree, and was busy in thrashing the walnuts barefoot when he slipped and fell down.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered case under relevant sections of law. (KNT)
